About Rabbit Hangul Typing
Last updated: June 2026
Rabbit Hangul Typing is a free, browser-based typing game built to make learning the Korean keyboard genuinely fun.
What this game is
Most typing tutors are drills: type a line, repeat, get a score. We wanted something that rewards speed and accuracy with a bit of adventure. In Rabbit Hangul Typing you control a hungry rabbit. Vegetables labeled with Korean words are scattered across a field, and each word you type correctly sends the rabbit dashing over to eat one. As you progress through seven stages, foxes and a farmer show up to chase you — so your typing has real stakes.
Why we made it
Learning to type in Hangul can feel slow at first. The two-set (두벌식) layout places consonants on the left and vowels on the right, and it takes practice before the positions feel natural. A game loop — clear stage, beat your time, try again — keeps that practice from feeling like a chore. The on-screen keyboard shows both the Korean letter and its matching English key, so beginners can find letters while building muscle memory.
Who it's for
- Korean language learners who want to get comfortable typing Hangul.
- Anyone learning a new keyboard layout who prefers practice with a goal.
- Players who just enjoy a quick, replayable arcade challenge.
How it works
The whole game runs entirely in your web browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create. Your best times are stored locally on your own device using your browser's storage, so you can keep chasing a faster record. The word list is drawn from hundreds of everyday Korean words — vegetables, animals, plants, food, and nature — so you pick up useful vocabulary while you play.
Built with simple web technology
Rabbit Hangul Typing is a lightweight project made with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, using the HTML canvas for animation. It is designed to load quickly and work on most modern desktop browsers with a physical keyboard.
