About Visual Challenge
Visual Challenge works in the opposite direction from Sound Detective: you see a Korean vowel and must find its sound. Each card has a small speaker button — listen to all four, then press "This one" on your answer. Korean vowels are built from just three elements (a dot for heaven, a horizontal line for earth, a vertical line for human), so the differences can be subtle at first: ㅏ faces right, ㅓ faces left; ㅗ points up, ㅜ points down.
The pairs that face opposite directions are exactly the ones beginners confuse, and this game exists to drill them apart. Play until your streak survives ㅓ versus ㅜ and ㅑ versus ㅛ — then the reading lessons will feel noticeably easier.
